How to use it

Seyès is the French school ruling, also standard in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria: 8 mm squares with three 2 mm interlines between the main lines, plus a red margin.

  • Choose 10 or 12 mm for an enlarged ruling that helps young children and pupils with writing difficulties.
  • Put the margin on the left, or on the right for Arabic.
  • For double-sided printing, mirror the margin on even pages.

Print quality: the lines are true vector lines in the PDF, so they stay sharp on any printer at any zoom, and the file is tiny. Print at 100% (“Actual size”) so measurements stay exact to the millimetre. The file is created on your device.

Worked example

Main lines every 8 mm, three light interlines, and a red margin 30 mm from the left edge.
