How it is calculated
Tip = bill × tip % Per person = (bill + tip) ÷ peopleWhen splitting by order, each person pays their items plus a share of tip and fees proportional to their order.
Customary tips vary: about 10% in Morocco, the Gulf and Egypt (service is sometimes included), 15–20% in the US.
Worked example
A 640 bill for four with a 10% tip: tip 64, total 704, so each pays 176.
