How to use it
- Quality of 70–80% usually saves 50–80% with no visible difference.
- Auto keeps JPGs as JPG and turns PNGs into WebP, which is far smaller and keeps transparency.
- Max width is the most effective saving — phone photos are much larger than websites need.
If a result is bigger than the original, we keep the original. EXIF data such as GPS location is removed.
Privacy: your image is processed inside your browser on your device. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Worked example
A 3.8 MB phone photo at 75% quality with a 1920 px limit usually ends up between 300 and 600 KB.
